TCWT was launched by Tara Burian on January 1, 2020 in Philadelphia, PA. In May 2021 the business was relocated to Arizona! Tara and Mike run the business from their home but hope to someday expand and have their own land. Between the two of them they have experience caring for dogs, cats, bunnies, fish, birds and some reptiles but, they are always willing to learn something new and care for any type of animal. Their primary goal is to allow you to travel free of worry, and keep your pet stress-free.

Hello! My name is Tara and I have had a passion for animals my whole life. I started caring for pets of family and friends when I was ten and have done it ever since! My house growing up had dogs, a parrot and some fish whom I loved helping take care of. I also gained experience with cats and some reptiles when I was younger. After graduating from East Carolina University in the winter of 2016 I moved back home to Maryland. While there I worked at Dogwood Acres Pet Retreat located in Davidsonville, Md for a year. Dogwood Acres has been voted the number one daycare facility and the number one boarding facility from 2011-2020! I am very grateful to have worked there and to have learned so much. It gave me great experience with dogs of all ages, sizes and behaviors. No matter what kind of pet you have I am here to help! Giving your pets loving care and you peace of mind.

Hello! My name is Michael Wagner. Throughout my life my family has owned dogs, however it wasn't until a few years ago that I considered caring for animals as a career path. In 2018 while studying to complete my Masters degree (in Criminology) at St. Joseph's University in Philadelphia, PA, I worked part-time at a wonderful facility "Just4Paws." This facility grew to be an incredible learning experience in so many senses and helped awaken my deeper desire to care for animals more full time. Now I am very excited to be joining the TakingCare team. My hope is that in the future when we have secured our own land, that we will be able to work towards innovative rehabilitative programs that involve care for rescued animals. I'm looking forward to meeting you all and your wonderful pets.
